Stopping drinking? Alcohol-free drinks for the long run
Stopped drinking? Brilliant. Somewhere, a pub landlord just felt a cold breeze.
Here's the thing the serious lot won't tell you: life without booze is still a right laugh. You still go out. You still get the round in. You just get your Saturday mornings back, and you remember the end of the night.
I stopped too. I swapped wine for kombucha, cut down first, then cut it out. So here's beer that tastes like beer, wine for Sunday dinner and spirits for a proper G&T. All alcohol free. No lectures, no yoga mats. Just decent drinks.

Welcome to the club
No membership fee. No secret handshake. No circle of chairs in a church hall. Just better Saturday mornings.
You've stopped drinking, for a month or for good. Whatever your reason, it's yours. Health, family, money, sleep, or you just got sick of finding kebab in your coat pocket.
The serious bit (it's short, promise)
If you've been drinking heavily every day, have a chat with your GP before you stop. Stopping suddenly can be dangerous, and they'll help you do it safely. The NHS website has more on support.
Right. Lecture over. That's the only one you'll get from me.
What changes (and what doesn't)
Here's what changes. You get your mornings back. Your bank balance looks less like a crime scene. You see the end of every film.
Here's what doesn't. Your personality. If you were a laugh before, you're still a laugh. If you banged on about yoga mats at parties when you were drinking, I'm afraid you'll still bang on about yoga mats. Booze was never the fun bit. You were.
Keep the ritual, lose the hangover
Most of what we miss isn't the alcohol. It's the moment. Friday night. The clink. The first cold sip after a long day.
So keep the moment. Change the drink. A big pour of Sam Smith's Alcohol Free Brown Ale on a Friday. A glass of Noughty's organic red with Sunday dinner. A Pearsons and tonic after work. A cork popped on Pierre Zéro Sparkling Chardonnay when there's something to celebrate.
Go out. Seriously.
Stopping drinking doesn't mean staying in. The pub's still there. The quiz is still there. Your mates are still there, mostly. Order an alcohol-free beer, get the round in, and be the legend who drives everyone home.
Want zero?
Everything here is alcohol free, and every drink shows its exact ABV. If you'd rather avoid any trace at all, hit the 0.0% filter on any collection. If 0.5% is fine for you, the whole range is open. Your call.
My bit
I was a big wine drinker. A bottle here, a bottle there, and a lot of foggy Saturdays. I swapped wine for kombucha, cut down first, then cut it out.
I'm not here to judge your glass. I'm here to tell you life's still awesome. One life. Go and have some fun with it.

Good questions
Is it safe to just stop drinking?
If you drink heavily every day, speak to your GP before you stop. Stopping suddenly after heavy, regular drinking can be dangerous, and they can help you do it safely.
Where can I get support?
Your GP is a great first step. The NHS website has advice on alcohol and where to find help near you.
Will I be boring if I stop drinking?
Only if you were boring before. Stopping drinking doesn't change your personality. If you were a laugh, you're still a laugh, and now you'll remember the punchline.
Are your drinks really alcohol free?
Every drink shows its exact ABV on the badge. 0.0% means there's no alcohol in it at all. Most alcohol-free beer is brewed to 0.5% or less. If you want zero, tap the 0.0% only filter on any collection.
