Kev's guide to the sale
Good questions
Why are some alcohol-free drinks on sale?
Usually it's one of three things. The best-before date is getting close, the drink is an end of line, or the brand has changed its label and the old stock needs to go. None of those are about the drink being worse. It's a shop clearing shelf space, which is good news if you're happy to drink something a bit sooner. Check each product page for the details.
What's the difference between best before and use by?
As a general rule of UK food labelling, a use by date is about safety and a best before date is about quality. Best before tells you when a drink should be at its best for flavour and freshness. Think of it as a guide to peak flavour. Where we've reduced something because of its date, we'll usually mention it on the product page.
Is cheap alcohol-free beer any good?
Depends what made it cheap. Here it's the same beer at a smaller price, usually because of a date, an end of line or a label change. If you want to keep costs down all year, not just when the sale's on, mixed boxes help: 24 drinks get 15% off automatically. Have a look at build a box and fill it with whatever you like.
How do I get the best price on sale drinks?
Add what you fancy to your cart and look at the total before you pay. Our mix-and-match deals come off automatically and the cart shows your best price, so there's no code to find and nothing to work out on the back of an envelope. If you're close to £85, topping up gets you free UK mainland delivery, which often matters more than a few pence off a can.
How often does the sale change?
Constantly. Drinks join when dates get close or lines end, and they leave when they sell out. That's why we don't promise what'll be here next week. If you spot something you like, it's best not to wait for payday. If the page looks quiet, check back later, or browse the full range at normal price, starting with beer or wine.
Do sale orders ship the same way as everything else?
Yes, delivery works the same. UK standard delivery is £5.95, and it's free to UK mainland addresses on orders over £85. Orders ship in 2 to 3 working days with Royal Mail. Online orders are delivery only, so they can't be collected from the taproom, but you're welcome to pop into the Otley Taproom to try a few things first.
