Kev's guide to alcohol-free pre-mixed cocktails
Good questions
Are pre-mixed alcohol-free cocktails 0.0%?
Some are. 0.0% means no alcohol at all. In the UK, anything at 0.5% or under counts as alcohol free. We show the exact ABV on every drink. In this range, the Twisst mojito is 0.0%, Savyll's cocktails are under 0.3%, and Smiling Wolf's cans are 0.5%. For 0.0% only, have a look at the zero range.
How do you serve canned alcohol-free cocktails?
Cold. Very cold. Chill the cans, then pour over ice into a proper glass, because a cocktail drunk from the can is just a fizzy drink with ambitions. The Espress0% Martini wants pouring cold so the nitro crema forms. The Smiling Wolf Negroni is best over one big ice cube. A slice of orange or a sprig of mint makes anything look like effort went in.
What are the best alcohol-free cocktails for a party?
Go for a mix. Highballs like the Savyll Paloma and the Savyll Moscow Mule are light and easy, and an espresso martini is what people ask for once the cheese board's gone. Twisst's piña colada and strawberry daiquiri are ready to pour, with no blender or measuring needed, which is exactly the effort level any host wants at 10pm.
How many calories are in an alcohol-free espresso martini?
The Mocktails Espress0% Martini is 49 calories per 100ml, so under 99 for the whole 200ml can. It's made with cold brew espresso, Madagascan vanilla and a blend of spices and botanicals, and it isn't too sweet. For comparison, Savyll's mojito is 27 calories per 100ml and their Paloma is 32. We list calories wherever the maker gives us a figure.
Is there an alcohol-free cream liqueur?
There is. Twisst Caramel Cream is made with whole milk and real cream, with natural coffee, caramel and vanilla and a touch of cocoa. It's an after-dinner treat, like a cream liqueur without the alcohol. Christmas sorted? It also comes as a case of 12 in our gift sets and bundles.
