A proper Yorkshire brown ale from the county's oldest brewery. Straightforward, malty and very satisfying.
Dark brown with mahogany highlights and a tight, creamy head. It's malt-forward, with roasted, earthy notes of coffee and caramel, and a dry, chewy finish. Not trying to be wacky, just a good-quality dark ale, a lot like Sam Smith's famous Nut Brown Ale with a fraction of the alcohol. The label is based on a 1950s Samuel Smith's poster.

About Samuel Smith's
Samuel Smith's has brewed at the Old Brewery in Tadcaster since 1758, making it Yorkshire's oldest brewery. They still ferment in traditional stone Yorkshire squares, use the same yeast since the 1800s, and deliver locally by Shire horse.
Drink it with
