Kev's guide to alcohol-free beer
Good questions
What is the best alcohol-free beer in the UK?
Honestly, it depends what you drank before. Lager drinkers usually love a crisp helles or pils. Craft fans go straight for a hazy IPA. Our current best seller is Below Brew The Cosmic Turtle, a juicy NEIPA. The easiest way to find yours is a mixed box: pick 6, 12 or 24 across styles and the discount comes off automatically.
How much alcohol is in alcohol-free beer?
0.0% means no alcohol at all. In the UK, anything at 0.5% or under counts as alcohol free. We show the exact ABV on every drink, so you always know what you're getting. If you want none whatsoever, our 0.0% only range has nothing in it but 0.0%.
Does alcohol-free beer taste like real beer?
The good ones do, and the good ones are now most of them. Williams Bros Joker AF is the alcohol-free version of their famous Joker IPA, and Mash Gang say they never strip or water down their Glug lager. The body can be a touch lighter, which is why hazy IPAs and stouts, with oats and big hops, often fool people first. Taste a few side by side and see.
How many calories are in alcohol-free beer?
Usually far fewer than you'd guess. In our range, Athletic AF lager has 25 calories a can and Northern Monk Faith has 26, while a big, hoppy IPA like Williams Bros Joker AF is 119. Every product page lists calories where the brewery gives them. For the lightest options, read our low-calorie alcohol-free beers, ranked.
Are alcohol-free beers gluten free and vegan?
Lots are, but not all, so check each drink. Plenty of our beers are listed as vegan, and a good number are listed gluten free too, like Athletic Upside Dawn and Renegade Solo. The dietary details sit on every product page, taken from the brewer. If you've got a serious allergy or coeliac disease, read the can and check with the brewery before you drink.
How much is delivery and how fast is it?
UK standard delivery is £5.95, and it's free to UK mainland addresses on orders over £85. Orders ship in 2 to 3 working days with Royal Mail. We're delivery only, so online orders can't be collected from the shop. If you want to taste before you order, pop into the Otley taproom at 7 Manor Square.
