Good questions
How do you choose the best sellers?
We pick the drinks people buy most from each part of the shop: IPA and pale ale, lager, wheat beer, fruit and sour, stout, cider, red, white, rosé, sparkling, spirits, cocktails and gift sets. So it's a short list to get you started, not a ranking of everything. Want more choice? Every style has its own page, starting with all alcohol-free beer and all alcohol-free wine.
What's a good first alcohol-free drink to try?
Something close to what you already drink. Hazy pale fans could start with Northern Monk Faith from Leeds, 26 calories a can. Fizz fans, try Pierre Zéro Sparkling Chardonnay at 0.0%. Gin drinkers, Pearsons Rhubarb & Ginger, made with Yorkshire-grown rhubarb. Jumping straight to something unfamiliar is how people decide they hate alcohol-free drinks.
What does non-alcoholic mean on a UK label?
In the UK, anything at 0.5% or under counts as alcohol free. 0.0% means no alcohol at all. We show the exact ABV on every drink. If you want 0.0% and nothing else, the zero range is just that.
What's the cheapest way to try lots of alcohol-free drinks?
Build a mixed box. Any 6 drinks get 5% off, 12 get 10% and 24 get 15%, applied automatically, so a case of different cans costs less than buying them one by one. For wine, the 20cl single-serve bottles like Pierre Zéro Merlot let you try one glass before committing to a full bottle. Start at build a box.
Which alcohol-free drinks taste most like the real thing?
In my experience, hoppy beers and fizz. Hops and bubbles carry flavour that alcohol usually would. Cloudwater Fresh AF is a cracking hazy IPA from Manchester, and Pierre Zéro Sparkling Chardonnay is a true 0.0% French fizz that holds its own at a toast. Still reds and neat spirits are harder to fool you with. Best way to judge is to taste, at the Otley Taproom.
